Romans 8:9
More ye are not in the flesh, but after the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. And if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, is not it.
Think for a moment about the things you value most in life.
Sons, work, savings, wife, social position, who will? If for any reason you have to negotiate, what things would give?
Is your relationship with God of those things that you value?
Do you think the Holy Spirit's presence in your life as a prized possession?
Today I perceive a weak evaluation that Christians give the Holy Spirit. We like to invite you to our services and services primarily because we want to give it, but we fail to cultivate a relationship every day with the comforter. We often forget to turn it into our Companion of the Way.
David recognized that the Spirit of God was like the air . Psalms 51:11
not cast me away from you, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
I understand that David had two reasons for submitting the clamor
1) felt the void. Discomfort and lack of peace that produces the absence of Spirit in the life of the individual.
2) knew firsthand the story of a man who was abandoned by the Holy Spirit. knew what had happened to his predecessor, King Saul.
We must all remember that the Holy Spirit are NOT required to be where not love, nor respect nor obey .
What happens when the Spirit of God is not? Consider what happened to Saul.
1 - a vacuum is generated that can be filled by something else.
1 Samuel 16:14
The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and he was tormented by an evil spirit from the Lord
There is a spiritual law that states that a space can not be empty, or filled with God or the devil. There neutral.
The Bible teaches that demons are looking for gaps to fill. The apostle Peter reveals the eagerness of the devil to find someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8)
So, friend, not that you're wrong or you are not understood, is that your life is a space if it is full of God, is being occupied by the "other."
2 - appear ministerial jealousy. 1 Samuel 18:8
And Saul was angered greatly, and this saying displeased him, and saith unto David ten thousands, and me thousands, not missing more than the kingdom.
Saul left to enjoy the big win is in the interest of his kingdom and began to be envious of the popularity of one of his assistants. Of course, this is an indication that the Spirit of God is not.
3 - Evil spirits put people to rave, saying crazy things, to plot evil. 1 Samuel 18:10
pass the other day an evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house. David played with his hand as the other days, and Saul had a spear in his hand. And Saul cast the spear, saying smite David to the wall. But David evaded him twice
What spirit may encourage a parent to kill their young children and then kill themselves? Quite often we read in newspapers cases of parents who lose notion of maternal tenderness and bloody deeds comment against their offspring.
4 - When the Spirit of God is not, you depend on others to fight for you. 1 Samuel 17:31-39 relates the episode when Goliath challenged the army of Israel. For conditions (height) maybe it was up to Saul to face, but unfortunately was not able to assume this responsibility.
Nowadays we often see people who want a favor from God, but does not dare to approach and seek an intermediary, someone to intercede, someone who "pray for me."
5 - When the Holy Spirit is living away bored easily turn the anger and suffering that anyone can download. 1 Samuel 20:30-33
Then Saul's anger kindled against Jonathan, and said: Son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to your own confusion, and confusion of the shame of your mother? ... .... And Jonathan answered Saul his father and said, "Why die? What have you done? Saul cast a spear to wound, ... ... ....
is worth remembering that Jonathan was nothing more and nothing less than the son of Saul. If he was able to do that to a child, imagine what could happen to anyone else!
6 - When the Holy Spirit is not, recognized the absence or life carries errors, but lack the final touch to resolve the situation, to close the wound or settle the dispute. Saul pursued David and at times acknowledged that what he did was wrong, but as soon spend a few days, returning again in his quest to eliminate the innocent server. 1 Samuel 24:16-20 and 1 Samuel 26.
7 - When the Holy Spirit goes, you lose the connection with God and life's challenges overwhelm and frighten us. 1 Samuel 28:5-6.
is that without the Holy Spirit in us, we become a mobile phone without service, no signal, no minutes.
8 - Eventually, Saul died in an unworthy manner, in the same way many people who have rebelled against God and His Spirit has been neglected. 1 Samuel 31:4
church therefore, to see the impact it has on the life being without the presence of God in us, we must listen to what the Apostle Paul:
- 1 Thessalonians 5:19 not quench the Spirit
- Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
conclude by saying that I am more than ever cnovencido that communion with the Holy Spirit is the greatest wealth that man / woman one might have. Rate !
